Contemporary
Glass Sculptures - California Style
Organik Fuzion contemporary sculptures, hot blown
glass with dichromatics, are created by Paul
Falworth, a 43 year old native of northern California,
who has lived and traveled overseas for over 18 years.
Paul's
contemporary style reflects the energy of his travels - from
backpacking in the mountains of Tibet to hang gliding
along the California coast to scuba diving off tropical
islands. All of Paul's sculptures reflect the dynamic facets
of our constant journey through life. |

"Glass
has so much energy. I just love color that dances with the imagination."
Organik
Fuzion sculptures (which can be rotated
for better viewing) are created at the BAGI
studios, and have plenty of positive energy, an eye for color
and texture, and the hope that the surreal and iridescent dichromatic
patterns reach out and capture the imagination.

Each sculpture
typically starts with a color overlay, then frit is added with multiple
color wraps, dichromatic pieces, stringers and up to six gathers
or more of clear glass to separate the color layers. Every piece
is cooled over two days with non-standard annealing gradients which
account for the extra thickness, multiple colors and dichromatics
chunks. All of Paul's pieces require a minimum of three and sometimes
four people working as a team in the studio.
The range
(slide show available)
of Paul's pieces reflect the subject matter of his sculptures -
from "Time's Footprints" to "Always Forever"
to "Hopes and Dreams". These sculptures are available
for purchase. Gallery
inquiries are always welcome.
